Sirloin Burger With Side Salad

Healthy Burger and Salad Recipe

Ingredients

  1. For the sirloin burger:
    4 ounces ground sirloin (at least 90-percent lean)
    1 whole-wheat roll
    1 tablespoon mustard
    1 tablespoon ketchup
    2 leaves lettuce
    2 slices tomato
  1. For the side salad:
    1 cup mixed greens
    1/2 tablespoon olive oil
    1/2 tablespoon vinegar

Directions

  1. Preheat your grill or broiler. Form a burger patty with the sirloin.
  2. Grill or broil your burger patty for 5 minutes per side so it is medium-well.
  3. Spread ketchup and mustard on the burger bun, then layer lettuce, tomato, and patty as you prefer.
  4. Toss mixed greens with olive oil and vinegar, and add to your plate.
