High-Protein, Low-Carb Barbell Brew Beer

Yes, a High-Protein, Low-Carb Beer Actually Exists

Even though beer offers some physical health benefits, concern about weight gain has always been at the forefront. But UK online nutrition store Muscle Food recently created a low-carb beer that could be the answer to all our problems.

Called Barbell Brew, the high-protein beverage includes 85 percent less carbs than regular beer. It's all natural with 21.8 grams of protein, which is about 95 percent more than average, according to the site. At just 92 calories, Barbell Brew ranks pretty low among other low-calorie beer, but is still as effective with a 3.6 percent ABV.

In addition to being a tasty alternative with "notes of tropical fruits and light caramel on the nose," the brand also claims to be totally thirst-quenching, which would make it an ideal post-workout treat. A beer you don't have to feel guilty about? Sounds like a dream come true!
