Hilary Duff's Wedding Day Diet and Exercise Plan

Hilary Duff Is One Buff Bride

Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie tied the knot over the weekend, and the bride looked absolutely stunning (although it's hard to tell from the blurry photos). Not only because of her gorgeous Vera Wang dress, but because Hilary invested serious time working her body. To prepare for the big day, she hit the gym five days a week, following intense cardio routines created by her trainer, Harley Pasternak. Harley told Us Magazine,

"Each workout starts with a cardio warm up of jump rope and jogging, then we do a circuit of upper body, lower body and abdominals. We go through each exercise and do about 25 reps. We'll repeat that circuit about four times and then end with cardio at the end."

Exercise wasn't the only key ingredient to getting in shape for her wedding day. To hear about her diet and see more photos of the big event

.

Her diet mapped out by Harley consisted of egg white omelets, chopped salads, and her personal favorite, miso black cod.The celeb trainer said,

"[Hilary] had a different motivation because she was getting ready for her special day. She's really noticed a huge difference, practically all over. She looks phenomenal. We trimmed her midsection, so it will be tight. Her arms look amazing."

Tell me, have you ever dieted and exercised to get your body ready before a big event?

that doesn't sound extreme to me at all. i'm very out of shape and that's what my trainer has me do everyday too... and it's easy enough that i don't pass out so what makes you think Hilary who kept in some kind of shape all the time wouldn't be copping with that work out? and she ate more, they just named the top stuff for the article

From how he's describing her diet, it sounds to me like he's basically saying that she starved herself for her wedding day. He's using a lot of euphemisms for it, but a diet THAT skimpy and a workout regime that intense is not healthy, even for a short-term deadline like that. I only had 6 months to get "in shape" for my wedding. I added about 20 minutes of intervals to my cardio and did more back/arm strength work to get dress-ready. I was already in pretty good shape to start with, though.

I've been working out four days a week for my wedding this weekend. My workouts include running, spin classes, weight training, and pilates. I've actually PUT on weight, but everyone keeps telling me how fit I look, so I assume it's muscle weight.

Dear god, I hope that's not ALL she ate.I lost weight for my wedding (hard to believe (1) that was 5 years ago, and (2) now that I'm 8 months pregnant, I'm a lot heavier!). We got married the summer after my first year in law school, and I had really packed on the pounds during my senior year in college. I went from 140 to 120 (I'm 5 feet tall) by counting calories (ate about 1800 calories/ day) and exercising. I lifted weights often and could really see definition in my arms/ shoulders on our wedding day !
