How Do You Recharge Your Batteries?

Which one sounds better to you: a quick run in the park or a 15-minute cat nap? Many folks rely on rest to recharge their batteries while others pump up the volume on their cardio to fire up their engines. A jog around the block, a jump rope routine, or a trip up and down the stairs can get the heart racing, the blood flowing, and the body feeling refreshed. On the other hand, a mini slumber may not burn any calories, but it can offer some much-needed downtime. For those who are somewhere in between, a few yoga stretches can work similar magic.

I find it hard to fall asleep if I know it'll only be for 15 minutes. A quick jog and a hot shower does the trick.

Jumping jacks help me the most when I'm stuck at my desk, though this only works when I'm at home or in an informal office. :)

At work a walk outside for 15 minutes always helps. Otherwise, it's running when I'm stressed out or a quick nap and a good book if I'm really, straight up exhausted.

I work out to recharge my batteries, especially when I have to be at work by 6am. I come home, work out, and I feel SO much better!

When I worked at Macys, since I was on my feet all day and was going out dancing at night a lot, I always recharged with a 15-45 minute (depending on if I was on break or lunch) power nap. I still do if I know I'm going to be in the car as a passenger. Now, since I sit at a desk all day, if I find myself wearing down I try to find a reason to get up and move around - even if it just means switching to sitting on my yoga ball for an hour.
