How Long Does It Take You to Fall Asleep?

I am not one to have trouble falling asleep, but lately I've been tossing and turning. A few relaxation exercises generally help, but I find myself waiting up to 20 minutes or so to actually drift off to the land of nod. On your average night . . .

It used to take me FOREVER (over an hour) to fall asleep. But after moving apartments last year, I vowed to use my bed only for sleep. Its tempting to do work or drag my laptop in to watch movies, but making my bed a single-purpose area made falling asleep much easier (now staying asleep is the problem...)

I'm not one of those people who says "I'm going to sleep now." At night, I enjoy laying in bed watching movies. I will do this until I feel myself drifting off. Sometimes I catch myself, turn the TV off, and instantly fall asleep after that. Other times, I fall asleep with the TV on.

Fifteen to twenty minutes, usually. Unless I go to bed before my husband--he always wakes me up when he comes to bed.

on a normal night, I'd say 20 minutes sounds about right. But maybe like one or two nights a week, it'll take me hours. Either because I'm itchy, anxious, or just plain not tired.

It all depends. Most nights under 10 minutes (i think). Once in a while like once every 6 months or even longer its like half an hour or longer, but thats usually when I nap in the day or have stimulants too close to bedtimehttp://fullbodytransformation.wordpress.com/

It really all depends. If I did yoga that day or got up early that day usually MAX 20 minutes. But like last night, it took me almost 2 hours !

ever since i started working out in the mornings every day and doing yoga in the afternoons/evenings, the moment my head hits the pillow i'm out! and i love it because i used to struggle to sleep before

Now with a baby, I fall asleep a lot faster- I never know how much sleep I am going to get :)

It depends on when I go to bed and how my day was, what tomorrow brings, etc.- but generally 10 mins. On the rare occasion, it will take 20.
