How Long Is Your Typical Cardio Workout?

When getting my sweat on at the gym, I can only handle doing 30 minutes on a cardio machine. I just tend to get bored and that is also my gym's time limit policy. When out for a run or ride, I can definitely go for much longer. When outdoors my stamina is stronger than when under the florescent lights of the gym. How long is your typical cardio workout?

30 minutes cardio is typical for me in the gym, but I can go longer if I have interesting reading material. If I'm running outside, though, time usually isn't a concern for me; then it's more about the scenery.

I've been trying to lose weight and was running about 80-90 minutes every day or logging that same time on the arctrainer...howevr it was making me so hungry i wasn't losing any weight. Now I toned it down to 50 minutes and that has worked much better.

I can't run on treadmills, they're too boring for me, so I always run outside and that way I don't have to deal with time limits. Generally speaking I usually run around one hour, never less than 45 minutes but usually around 50-60 minutes.

It depends. When I strength train, I do a 30 minute cardio warm up and a 10 minute cardio cool down. When I don't strength train, I spend 40-60 minutes on cardio.

It depends on how much time I have. I currently have an hour+ commute, so most weekday mornings it's only 30 minutes. If I get to work from home that day, or if it's the weekend, then the workout is usually 60-90 minutes.

No option for longer? My bike rides are usually minimum of 60-90 minutes if I'm doing a couple loops on a mountain bike trail, but easily go for 2-4 hours on my road bike.

It depends. I can bike outside for 2-3 hours on the bike trail easily (I always lose track of time!), but when I'm indoors, I usually do about 90 minutes doing a combo of the elliptical trainer and the treadmill and jumprope.

i'm starting to train for a half marathon, so my workout times are going to be varying quite a bit. however, i typically try to get in five 45 minute sessions per week.

Wow! I can't wait until I can run for forty minutes. Mine really depends on what I do, I run a mile, I do Zumba for an hour and I do strength training for a little over half an hour mixed with cardio.

Usually no more than 40 minutes is my limit; however, I do no less than 30 minutes.

it really depends-some days I concentrate on cardio more and the next day I do more weight lifting and core strengthening.Today was my cardio day and I had sort of "Triathlon" day as I call it - 30min running intervals on treadmill,30min rowing and I finished with 45 min intense spinning class,followed by some abs and stretching exercise.

It totally depends on the activity. Like, I can only deal with treadmill boredom for, at most, 45 minutes, but I can run outside for longer than that.

I never do less than 40mins, no matter the activity; when it comes to jump rope, I vary between session of 40, 50, or 60 mins. Running, I do between 60mins and 110mins trail (I couldn't do less because that's the amount of time it takes me to run to the woods/park, do one circuit, and return), and swimming, minimum 60 mins. I never use a stationary bike and tend to cycle on 'bike trips' which can mean well over 4hrs of cycling in one trip.

It really depends on activity.The only indoor cardio workout for me is swimming. Any time beteen 45 to 60 minutes.Running - normally is 90 mins - 3 hours
