How Many Days a Week Do You Exercise?

Almost as if to spite the decreasing daylight, I have upped my workouts. Making running and biking dates certainly helps. And although it is not a serious workout, I play kickball on a coed league once a week.
The American College of Sports Medicine suggests that everyone exercise five days a week, but preferably every day. Now, what I want to know is . . .

I work out 5 days a week, doing 30 minutes on the elliptical trainer. Sometimes I take Saturday and Sunday off, and sometimes I take a day during the week and Sunday off. Pretty soon I'm going to start doing strength training 2 days a week for 30 minutes. Should I drop one day of cardio, or just do it all?

3 days kickboxing in the mornings and strength training / walking in the evening and just walking / running on the other days. I do take a day off a week - and it's usually dictated by the work or social schedule...

I like to go everyday and usually do, but, I don't go if I really don't want to go and the past week, I've been kind of sick and exhausted, a week is the longest I've not gone!

As for me, 4 times a week. However, I'm trying to squeeze in an extra session -- lower body weight training. It's been hard, given that I'm active in other areas of my life, too. Okay, I have to go. Time for my evening jog.

I work out 2-5 times a week. I also ride or walk to and from work 5 days a week, but it's only about 2km each way so I don't really count that as exercise.

I work out for at least 90 minutes 6 days a week. I have to force myself to take a day off every week. But when I do take a day off, I walk for at least an hour with my dog so I get at least some sort of workout in.

I used to do 5 days a week, but now I like to go for 2-hour workouts 3 days a week with one day of 45 mins. cardio. the 2-hours workouts are Pilates, weights and running or elliptical. I used to go more often but found that if I rest in between I'm able to get a better workout.

I used to do about 5 days a week, 1.5-2 hours every day. But now I just DON'T have the time =( So, I get to the gym about 1 time a week and then I will go for a 30 minute run and do some abs about 1 or 2 times a week. That's all I can do for now, but hopefully after I graduate this December I will have more time to dedicate to the gym! Can't wait!

When I'm "on", 6 days a week, with Thursday as my rest day. I'm with Renee, I love how NO ONE is at the gym Friday-Sunday.

I had a forced "rest day" today. My daughter was sick all night, so a.m. spin class seemed out of the question. I am loving how all of you leaving comments are really dedicated to working out!

I work out every day. 5 days of cardio -- alternating biking, step aerobics, running in place, and Tae Bo. I do 2 days of weighlifting. I do about 45 minute sessions in the morning before work, and on the weekends, I usually do at least an hour.

Yeah, I'm with lawchick, you guys are impressive. I've been working out pretty consistently twice a week, since my office started offering workout classes at night. It's easier to get to them than to the gym - it's right there and it's an appointment. I need to do more, but I figure step at a time is good for now ... at the start of the year, fitting it in twice a week would have been unthinkable.

y'all are hardcore! that's awesome! I don't exercise. Unless you count walking the dog. however, I just turned 30 and my metabolism is bound to slow down sometime soon, so I plan to join a gym this year.

used to do about 6 days a week and then dropped down to 3 (blah!!). I'm trying to get back into more days working out but i have gotten a wee bit lazy recently. it helped quite a bit when i had my treadmill at home. -.-

I just started working out seriously and workout for roughly 30 min M-F. Saturdays are my errand days so I'm most likely walking around and everything. Sunday is church so that ends up being serious exercise with singing and everything. I'm usually pooped by the time service is over.
