How Often Do You Bring Your Lunch to Work?

Eating out can be hard on the wallet and the waistline. I try to bring my lunch to work, usually leftovers, every day. While that's the goal, I probably only meet it three out of five workdays. What about you?

I take my lunch to work every single day! No questions about it. I make a bulk load on a Sunday and then eat it the rest of the week. :)

I take my lunch to work almost everyday. once every one or two weeks I will either go to the cafeteria for a slice of pizza and a small salad (better than eating half a pizza at home lol) or someone brings lunch in and nosh on their dime. It's not only helping me lose weight, but also saving our budget!

I am in the military and I try to buy my own groceries as much as possible to make my own lunch.

I would sometime buy something to eat nearby, but since I work in the downtown area, prices can get pretty steep. For the past week or so, I've been trying to bring food form home every day.

Last summer I worked at a company that had a great cafeteria an I ate there for a week, but it added up! I noticed I had a lot more money (saved 35-40 a week) when I packed my own or skipped lunch altogether (yeah, I've got tens of thousands in college loans and was working for 12 bucks an hour consistent meals was a luxury) Now I'm back in school and I always pack my lunch, I try to eat all my meals now, but make them cheap (like 2-4 eggs; a cup of soup, those meals both cost less than a buck! and they're healthy).

It's funny i was just thinking about this today. I realized i spend way too much money buying lunch out everyday. I am determined to start bringing my lunch everyday. It's a lot cheaper and healthier.

Cook and carry, baby! So I can afford the clothes I want and so that they continue to fit me. :0)

I pack my lunch every day because all we have are vending machines which, as we all know, are the biggest danger zones around! Alot of my co-workers order out several times a week and, oddly enough, they are all battling their weight. Hmmm. Think there's a correlation there? I pack salads, quality protein, fruit etc. I am known as the "Healthy Eater Queen." Yes, I do have an occasional treat, but it isn't the main part of my diet. I can't seem to get people to understand that YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT. I am not overweight because I don't eat junk. They think I'm not overweight because I work out, but diet plays the bigger part of the weight equation than exercise. When will people learn?

I manage 2 or 3 days a week. When I buy lunch, I stick to small, simple things. I'm gradually working on taking lunch more often.

I don't technically "bring" a lunch every day, but I load up on fresh veggies, salad and sandwich makings and keep them in the fridge at work. I actually keep more veggies at work than i do at home since i eat at work 5 times a week and only have dinner at home maybe once or twice a week!

Well technically I bring it once a week, but I bring enough stuff to have lunch every day. It's easier than packing it every single night.

All the time. Or I run to the market close by and pick up some fruits and vegetables. It's really worth it.

I work close to a grocery store and often run over there to make a quick salad. Otherwise I bring stuff in from home.

I pack a lunch every day. The money I save is totally worth it. I switch it up every few weeks. My boyfriend made a big vegetable soup on Sunday night and that's what we'll bring every day this week. Between the two of us, we'll save about $70. (The sandwich shops around here charge about $8 for a wrap and we probably only spent about $10 on groceries for the soup. ($8 x 5 days x 2 people = a whole lot of money I'd rather spend elsewhere!))

i always bring my own food everywhere, i dont trust others to have things that dont gross me out, or things that are good for you or that i want to eat. this is why i think i might have a hard time traveling, but if they had a grocery store im sure id be ok. I dont eat out usually so it would be different thats for sure.

I would like to but I'm so tired every night I can't be bothered. Our cafeteria has a good mix of foods and is extremely cheap so I don't spend much on lunch anyway.

I had a big kick where I'd buy every day, but I couldn't keep it up financially
