How Often Do You Weigh Yourself?

I am not a big fan of weighing myself daily, but I also do not hate scales. I think of my scale as a tool — a means of checking in with myself, my eating habits, and my workout routine. Some people stand on a scale every day; it's part of their routine. Others just plain hate them and never weigh themselves. I am wondering about you . . .

I REALLY want to weigh in daily, I think it'd motivated me to lose weight, but as I am already thin (with a BMI just barely hanging on to 19) and trying to recover from and eating disorder, I should still to my once ever 2-4 weeks that seems to keep me assured that I am not blowing up into a ballon, losing too much weight, while training me to not fixate on a metal box with springs. That said, I think I have read that weighing in daily can help people shed pounds more than one a week. I think it's ok, for 'normal' people

Woah, I couldn't be bothered to weigh myself daily! I weigh myself each Monday before dinner (either weekly or fornightly) just to keep an eye on things.

I have no idea how often I weigh myself, but I think once a year might be right... I have no idea what I weigh right now - to me it's not about the number on the scale but if I feel my body is healthy... I've begun excersing after having done none of the sort for a couple of years as I want a healhty body!

I weigh myself ONLY once a week: I decided a while ago to just have one scale in my weekend's house; that way, there's no way I weigh myself more than once a week.

I weigh myself whenever I see a scale, which is usually less than once a month. I don't own one, but like to check every now and then. My weight doesn't really change, but it's always good to confirm that I haven't gained any weight.

I didn't own a scale..not until recently. And now it's become a fascination of mine to weigh myself daily. Sometimes I even weigh myself after drinking 2 glasses of water and after eating.I have no life LOL.

Every day. I'm stuck at the same weight. At first I thought the darn thing was broken, but it changes for my bf, or when I weigh myself holding one of the cats. bah.

it's in the bathroom. I step on it every morning before the shower. i think it is kinda interesting to see if i can figure out why there might be some variation. sadie, who's almost two, likes to stand on it and bounce up and down.

i don't own a set of scales and i only allow myself to weigh in at the gym once i month - i probably cheat and do it once a week though! i think once a month is a long enough interval to give you a realistic idea of how your body is changing. but it's really only one aspect because how your clothes fit, how your muscles look, whether you can do something you couldn't before, how you feel, etc are all very important aspects too!

I dont own a scale, I would become obsessive, I just tell weight loss and gain by my clothes. As long as I fit in my skinny jeans without them being tight, I am happy with my weight, when they get a little tight, I taper what I am eating

Once in a while -- maybe once every few months. For sure once a year, as the doctor's office weighs me for my physical.Truthfully, I go by how my clothes fit, and how I look naked (sorry if this is TMI. I'm just being truthful). As long as I'm lean and sculpted, I don't care how much I weigh.

i weigh myself daily just because i'm trying to gain weight, so it helps me monitor myself to see that i'm on track.

I weigh myself once every few weeks, just to make sure I'm stable. I'm okay with fluctuating a couple pounds, just not much more than that.

ugh in college I gained 20 pounds and bought my first scale and would weigh myself daily. I would also write down my weight and body fat percentage on my mirror, so I could see the progression. I was not at my healthiest at this time, mentally or physically. Now I don't weigh myself at all - I use a tape measure. It's really the best because weight can fluctuate for many reasons but the tape measure shows m my actual body mass and it's more reliable than going by clothes, which stretch and shrink. I have no idea what I weigh right now.
