I just spent three days with the detox specialists at The Ranch at Live Oak in Malibu, and hydration was a hot topic. We were encouraged to drink considerably more water than the standard recommendation of 64 ounces daily. This detox program recommends drinking, over the course of 12 hours, one ounce of water for every pound you weigh. For example is you weigh 130 pounds, you should drink 130 ounces of water between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. It sounds like an in surmountable task, but is you take one or two sips every five minutes it's pretty easy to do.
