Whether you've heard of acroyoga yet or not, you can probably guess the two exercises it combines: acrobatics and yoga! The increasingly popular workout not only serves the purpose of strength building, but it also works to build trust — it's a partner-based practice that's meant to provide therapeutic release for both the base partner and the partner they're supporting, called the flyer.

Lena Dunham seems to be the latest fan of the trend, evidenced by her recent posts to her Instagram account — she even discussed the new hobby during her March appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She joked, "I am the physically laziest person you've ever met. I never even crawled — I just laid down on my back until I was 5 and then started walking, sort of." Dunham said her friend, celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson, is trying to "get my 98-year-old body to match its chronological age of 28." Anderson suggested acroyoga because it's a great way to "reconnect your bones and muscles and understand your body and really feel like you're in it."

Dunham said it's definitely been working, and she can feel muscles she hadn't felt before. What do you think: will you be the next one to embark on the acroyoga trend?

"Thanks for not dropping me!" she said, here with acroyoga instructor Ryan Stepka of AcroShirt.

"The journey continues," she said. "I haven't been in this position since sophomore year."

Here she is practicing in the empty bar of a hotel room — "long story, kids," she said. She told Ellen that she and one of her teachers (Josh Young, who runs Acropedia, a resource for all things acrobatic) needed a place with high enough ceilings because he's 6'7"!

And here's Lena doing acroyoga with her friend Jenni Konner, writer and executive producer of Girls. Looks like a great workout to us!
