Shape Up! Alarm Clock: Cool or Not

This hilarious Shape Up! Alarm Clock (price unavailable) has you hit the weights instead of hitting snooze. The dumbbell-shaped alarm buzzes until you've done 30 reps of bicep curls. I'm all for sneaking in strength training and morning workouts, but I don't think I'd enjoying exercising amid the incessant buzzing. What do you think?

I applaud the creativity, but I wonder about the practicality. It'd be nice if you could add weight to it! Also boo for not being clear about the price. I have a friend who has the alarm clock that will roll off your nightstand and run away from you, and you have to chase it down to turn it off. His roommate has almost put it, and him, through the window MANY times.

It sounds good in theory, but the buzzing would drive me crazy and I would probably unplug it instead of doing the reps.

This has such annoying wakeup call potential, but I def applaud the creativity! I'll keep this in mind in case I ever get obsessive over working my biceps

How much does it weigh? I doubt that 30 reps with that thing will be much of a workout after using it for a couple of weeks.

i wonder if you could injure yourself doing that while half awake . . . and you would have to try to remember which arm you used the day before to keep it even.
