Even if you head on a run with the right attitude, sometimes it's easy to get in your own way. And you may not even realize you're doing something that's harming your workout. For new runners that can't seem to get into the swing of things, these quick tips will help you out.

  1. Dress right: While there's no need to invest in anything fancy if you're brand new to a running routine, be sure to keep speed and comfort in mind when it comes to your wardrobe and shoe of choice. I love to run in the morning and try to do it as a beach run....tough with the sand and the waves breaking at my feet. I fuel it, stretch it and pace it just as you have mentioned, all included in my routine. I can add only one thing...positive thinking. I WILL MAKE IT THE BEST I CAN. With each step I'm thinking GO FOR IT!
