Victoria's Secret Models Miranda Kerr and Alessandra Ambrosio Share Bikini Bod Secrets 2010-03-29 14:00:51

How the Victoria's Secret Models Get Bikini Ready

While promoting the new Victoria's Secret swimsuit catalog, models Miranda Kerr and Alessandra Ambrosio shared with E! Online their secrets for getting bikini bod ready. Though good genes and youth play an obvious part, the models make sure to eat right and work out regularly. "The first step is eating healthy," Miranda says. "I predominantly eat organic when I can. I eat extremely healthy because when I do, I have more energy."

As for what she eats, Miranda is a big fan of "spinach, avocado, lots of greens and broccoli." Like Miranda, Alessandra's diet also includes a lot of greens, but she admits that she can't pass up a good steak: " . . . I love meat, so lots of protein." Both women think the occasional indulgence is important so you don't feel like you are constantly depriving yourself — chocolate and french fries are their cheat foods.

To keep her body svelte and toned, Miranda does "yoga, Pilates, and low resistance weight training." She also makes use of the hotel gym during her frequent travels and hits the stair climber whenever she has the chance.

Although Memorial Day might be a few months away, now is the time to start working out so you'll be bikini ready by the Summer. If you're hoping to don a two-piece this season, give trainer Jackie Warner's beach body workout a try.

Come on ladies, you know they are starving themselves. My husband thinks women this skinny are DISGUSTING! I'm 140lbs and 5'7" and he loves me no matter what, I don't have to be 100 lbs and 5'7"!!! Gosh, bones sticking out, eeeew. It's not the Halocaust people.

and yes, I also agree with the anonymous poster above me! It is ignorant to assume women that are this slender are not naturally thin. Sometimes they are, sometimes they have to work hard at their bodies, and sometime yeah, they are anorexic. But to push them ALL into the anorexic category is just plain unfair.

OKAY so I saw Alessandra Ambrosio on the infomercial for those Brazil Butt Lift DVDs the other day, read a couple reviews on the system and it seems legit! I'm going to give it try and Im super excited to see if it works!

Sorry, but they look too skinny for their body types. Do you really believe that all they have to do is eat right and work out and still have bodies like that? If htat were the case, I'd look like that. Yes, I know, there's genetics and stuff too but come on. The modeling industry is not made up of women who just eat well and exercise occasionally. Of course they're gorgeous and of course they work hard, because it's their job to be gorgeous so they have to - but to suggest that they *don't* work hard and this comes easily is a dangerous game to play. And I make comments about anorexia because of a loved one who is suffering from an eating disorder. It tends to make one much more aware of the way we market ourselves and other women and how women in general tend to be presented with the basic message of "You can, and SHOULD, look like this; why don't you?" I know most women don't internalize that message the way a handful do, and if you don't, good for you. I still don't think it should be out there and I think articles like this, talking about how these girls "eat right" and look amazing as if just the right diet is the magic wand to look like a model, send the wrong message. And yes, I still think these girls are too skinny. It was my first thought when I saw them, and the more I look at the picture the more I think it. Also pls remember, I said "borderline anorexic", not anorexic. As in they look like they are too skinny, not as in they look like they don't eat at all. Entirely my opinion, and I don't recall disrespecting anyone else's with my comment, so please don't disrespect mine. Thx.

They are so gorgeous! I remember looking at one of the catalogs thinking I can't wait to be that thin, and I'm getting there slowly. Just remember that if you are anorexic than your body holds onto everything you eat in order to preserve it for later, so I doubt they are to all the ones who commented about it.

*sigh* I wish I were that tall and willowy. No amount of Pilates is ever going to change my short little legs and chunky midsection.

Actually, all three of those girls look borderline anorexic to me.
