If you're walking for weight loss then you may want to step up your pace. When walking on a level surface, the faster you go the more calories you'll burn. Pace Calories Burned
2 MPH: walking at a leisurely pace 102 calories per hour
3 MPH: walking at a moderate pace 190 calories per hour
4 MPH: walking at a brisk pace 272 calories per hour
5 MPH: walking at a super fast pace (basically jogging) 476 calories per hour

So step it up (pun intended) and burn more calories!
