What Nutritional Supplements Do You Take Daily

Some people start their day off by swallowing a multi-vitamin. These dietary supplements are kind of like health insurance policies for your health. If you don't happen to eat all your essential vitamins and minerals, the vitamin is your back up. However, it is always better to get your nutrients from food.

I admit I am often taking multi-vitamin pills instead of making the effort to get what I need out of food. I worry I might be over doing it but I doubt vitamins can be that bad, but maybe we are yet to fully discover what effect a life time of vitamin supplements is doing to our bodies?

I take a multi-vitamin, d-vitamin, calcium magnesium, b-complex, and fish oil vitamin each day. It's hard to remember to take them, but I really notice a difference on the days that I do.

Insanitypepper, in response to your fish burps problem, try freezing them. If you freeze your fish oil capsules then they melt in your small intestine instead of your stomach, thus avoiding burps.

I take fish oil pills, a women's multi, and a calcium supplement with Vitamin D every day.

I definitely don't eat as well as I should so I take:- 1 multivitamin (I have to be careful which one I take as they make me ill on anything other than a full stomach- 3 softgels of Total EFA- 1 chromium picolinateI'm hoping all of these will keep my blood sugar even so I stop going bonkers when I haven't eaten in 4 hours. I will actually feel pretty ill when it gets to be about 5 hours past meal time! So if I can take these consistently it usually helps me from being cranky and getting mood swings with low blood sugar.

I take Viactiv multi-vitamin and calcium chews (I can pretend they're real chocolate) and fish oil. I can't stand the fishy burps; I even get them with the coated capsules. The reason I take fish oil supplements is because I can't stand the taste of fish!

A complete liquid multivitamin with Omega 3 and flax seed oil Liquid Calcium Magnesium Citrate (which has 600mg of calcium citrate, 400 IU of Vitamin D, and 300mg of magnesium) A 400 IU Vitamin D softgel 500 mcg B-12 sublinginual tablet I have a full CBC blood panel done every three months and they also check my nutrient/minerals levels and I'm doing excellently - well above the recommended levels. No vitamin deficiencies what so ever. Yea!

I take: Vitamin C, B-50 , Green tea extract, calcium, probiotic, Chromium picolinate, fish oil and coenzyme q-10.

Personally St Johns Wart made me sort of loopy and kind of drove my moods down into the dumps instead of making me happier. Not a fun time...but thats just my personal experience. It could work differently for you though.

Multivitamins arent always necessary...i was taught in college that unless your doctor tells you that you need to take it..you really dont. Most of the vitamin passes through your system and doesnt absorb anyway. You're lucky to get 20% of the contents of your vitamin. Sad but true. Still...i suppose taking it and getting what you can out of it is better than nothing...lol.
