What Size Dumbbell Do You Use the Most?

When it comes to strength training, I'm a big fan of using dumbbells. They're inexpensive, small, easy to use at home, and are so effective at toning your muscles. I have a few sets of different size weights for doing a variety of exercises, but I tend to use my eight-pounders for most exercises. What about you?

Why does it only go up to 15 pounds? :(25s and 30s for lower body, 10-15 for upper body.

man - my gym doesn't even have 3s... i use 10 the most.

Kind of insulting because I lift way heavier than any of those. Where are the heavy options at?? That's really aggravating.

I have 3 lb, 5 lb and 10 lb dumbbells and switch up which ones I use. I don't really "lift weights" so to speak, I just do tons of various strength training exercises. I also use 2 lb arm weights haha, like while I'm doing random things around the house.

I've been weight training for a year and a half now, and currently using 8-11 pound dumbbells, since that's all I can lift at the moment. I, too, believe in working your way up to heavier weights. As I keep getting stronger, I challenge myself to use heavier dumbbells.

When I do certain exercises, I use 5 lbs. But for example, I'm doing tricep curls, I use lbs.

25s or 35s for dumbbell moves, but I use barbells for heavier lifts.

it varies, but the lowest i ever use is 12 lbs. all other times i use 20s and 30 or 32.5s. i think "15 and up" at least should have been an option.

It all depends on the exercise. I used 5 lb for my triceps workout. But for squats - I cannot use dumbbell, they are not heavy enough for me. I use 2 large plate (5kg @), 2 med plate (2.5kg@), and 4 small plates(1kg@) Total = 19Kg or 41lb) They do not have that size of Dumbbell in my Gym.
