What's Your Favorite Form of Cardio For 2009?

We all have a go-to cardio activity we crave, not only because it's enjoyable, but also because it energizes us and burns major calories. I run and swim regularly, but cycling has my heart of hearts. I'm starting to look back at the year, questioning you about the best of 2009, so tell me, which form of cardio should receive this title?

Running's great but the elliptical is WAY better on the knees!

I chose cardio classes, I love my step class!

I love walking (hate running). I also do Krav Maga which combines strength and cardio!

I find running to be the most effective form of cardio for weight loss and thigh shaping. I don't like it, though. It's tedious and I get too many little injuries that are just barely bad enough to sideline me for a week or two. The ice pack and anti-inflammatory pills are my constant companions. I tried jumping rope but couldn't get the hang of it. I kept hitting myself in the back of the head with the rope.

I chose biking b/c my dad will sometimes tag along with my boyfriend & I and it's great to see him getting exercise.

I usually just go for a walk as my fitness but this year I learned about plyometrics and HIIT from cardio classes and DVDs. I'm actually quite good :)

The elliptical and tread-climber are my go machines this year.

The elliptical is my go to machine. I've never been a runner but I am looking forward to snow shoeing this winter as well.

This is my first year running & the benefits are limitless. I love the hypnotic effect running outside or in has on my mind. It's like nature's anti-depressant. Not to mention my legs are rock hard & getting more awesome every time I run. Now, if I could only say that for my upper body!

Even though I voted cardio machines I can't say that I like them very much...they have become very boring even with my iPod....I just do them because of the hour I go to the gym...for the new year i am going to be doing different activites.

I chose cardio classes. This past year I (successfully) attended my first class and loved it. I went to/go to Cardio Kickboxing, Zumba, Group Power, Yoga, Pilates & Spinning. I'm actually going to start teaching classes, myself, in a couple months. :-)

I chose cardio machines, specifically the elliptical. I've never been a runner - for some reason I can do the elliptical for 45 minutes without a problem, but even jogging for 10 minutes makes me feel like I'm going to die and/or be violently sick. My other main form of cardio is dance class.
