I subscribe to Women's Health but I find that there's very little in it that I actually read anymore. I read Oxygen quite often at the gym though and enjoy that other than all the supplement ads. FitnessRx and Muscle and Fitness were good ones available at my old gym to read.

I'm torn between Self and Women's Health - THEY'RE BOTH SO GOOD!!! And Runner's World too, but I don't subscribe to that one (even though I probably should).

There's a good one called Women's Muscle and Fitness (might be Canadian). I think it would probably be similar to Oxygen- real women who are into building a muscular fit frame.

Whoa peps! Reevaluate... Oxygen is by far the best fitness/nutrition magazine OUT THERE!!

I just let my subscription to Self lapse, after many years. I still like it, but I'm into more hardcore fitness these days, and all the Self models too muscle-less to inspire me. I'll have to check out Oxygen; you all make it sound good!

Fitness mag has the same information in it every issue! Self is the best and Women's Health is a close second because they actually have depth.

I really like Body & Soul. I find myself reading all the articles in it and it's really a neat magazine. It doesn't focus SO much on workouts, but it does provide a well-rounded approach to health. As far as workouts go, I like Shape and Fitness a lot. I also really like Womens' Health, but I don't get to read it often.

I love Women's Health. I used to love Fitness but they got rather boring. It was nothing new to me. I need to try Oxygen.

I love Women's Health and Health. I used to love Fitness, but they aren't what they used to be. I'm starting to get into Runner's World a bit. I'll have to give a look at Oxygen - it sounds like they have a lot of hardcore fans, that's a good sign.

I'm slightly obsessed with magazines and subscriptions to five of these. :)

I only subscribe to Shape but I'm getting bored. I feel like I'm reading same stuff over and over every month. I think I'm going to try Oxygen.

I've recently discovered FitnessRx and have found a new favorite. It's too bad it's only published every two months. Oxygen comes in a close second.

Runner's World and Yoga Journal are the only two I actually subscribe to, so I guess that pretty much sums it up.

I love Self as an all-around 'feel good' magazine. I always find interesting tidbits of info there about all sorts of topics, not just fitness. Reading it just puts me in a good mood. I think I'll flip through some of these others next time I'm near a magazine rack, though, particularly since I'm starting to get more serious with my workout routine.

Women's Health & actually Fitness Rx for women which wasn't listed. They both have really useful, non-boring articles & tidbits when other fitness magazines seem loaded with Captain Obvious articles and tons of ads.

For me it's always Shape. I've tried other magazines and I find that Shape is the one that consistently has innovative and creative workouts in each issue. Plus I love that they're not afraid to put a woman in a gym with actual weights. I got tired of Self always having "at home" workouts with wimpy resistance bands and 3 pound dumbbells. There comes a time when the strength training has to be turned up a notch and I find that Shape is the best for this.

I agree with jkat and Mme Hart, Oxygen is the best magazine for fitness and nutrition and their models are incredibly inspiring because they have muscle and look fantastic. I also feel they offer the most realistic advice, don't sugar coat things (literally since they advocate clean eating) and show challenging workouts which most women need to get the results they want. Hers Muscle and Fitness (not listed as an option) is also pretty good and is similar in style to Oxygen, but it comes every other month which is disappointing. Runner's World is the only other magazine I subscribe to because I am runner too, but I can usually thumb through that pretty quickly and aside from the training plans and advice and a few columns, I don't get a great deal out of it.

Oxygen!!! It's the only one I read.

Oxygen is the best fitness mag for sure. There's so much information, the exercises are awesome and the women in the magazine are actual fitness competitors (not models who look like they couldn't do a push up). My only complaint is all the fat burner ads.Women's Health would me be second choice.

I like Self because it entertains me and is not JUST about fitness.

Still liking the combo of frivolity and seriousness that is Women's Health.
