What's Your Least Favorite Yoga Pose?

We've been building on the basics in my beginner's yoga class, and recently it took a turn for the strenuous. We spent the entire class working on what my teacher said weren't her favorite poses, and soon I could see why: we held and reheld the plank and chaturanga dandasana (or four-limbed staff) poses over and over in order to learn how to correctly hold the poses and find our form.

By the end of the class, I never wanted to do a plank — let alone a chaturanga dandasana pose — again. The next day, however, I actually liked the fact that my upper arm and ab muscles were as sore as if I had gone to the gym (who says yoga isn't an intense workout?).

Even though sometimes I want nothing more than to release to child's pose, it does make me feel good when I learn to hold a hard pose, especially since I know I'm getting a good workout as well. I already know what your favorite poses are, but do you have any poses you love to hate — or just hate? Which poses are your least favorite?

I have trouble with side plank. It hurts the side of my feet trying to balance on them like that!

I hate Cobra. Kills my back. I wast not fond of downward facing dog for a while, but it's the best stretch for my tight calves and now i love it!

I'm not a fan of Halasana (plow pose) since my core is still a work in progress! I love pigeon, frog, and crow (even though I can't do it, yet).

I love plank becuase I feel so strong afterwards and pigeon is such an amazing release for my back and I get such a rush from dancer and warrior 3. I despise locust though. There is a reason it's named after one of the plagues!

Any class that skips Warrior 3 is good in my book — I still can't manage to stabilize in it! I'm also not a huge fan of Dancer pose.

Four-Legged Staff pose kills me. I cannot get my elbows to hug my body or get to 90 degrees for the life of me--though I can lower down to about 135 degree angle, which is better than nothing, I suppose. Also, Warrior 3--my arms will go to the sides fine, but tell me to put my arms forward in the full pose and I'm screwed.

This changes for me all the time. After I accomplish something I don't like or it becomes easier I start to love it. At the moment my least favorite pose is Revolved Half Moon. Loathe dolphin. I have a love/hate relationship with pigeon....I am in pain holding that pose if I haven't done it in awhile, but my hips feels so good after class is over that I am okay with doing it ....I just grit my teeth. Not in love with full inversions either, handstand or headstead, so usually modify with something else.

Thank God I'm not alone with hating some poses. Warrior 3...YUCK. When it's time to that one I cringe:(

Believe it or not, but warrior 2 is my least favorite. Either, I"m pooped after our 8 sun salutations, or we hold it for so long my legs start to shake. I know I'm supposed to feel strong in the pose, but I'm usually praying for it to be over.

Anything to do with "developing your balance" (official line) AKA "falling on your behind" (what actually happens to me) - causes me if quite a lot of embarrassment. Tree Pose, Three-Point Balance, Half-Moon Balance - all the stuff! Hate it. That is one moment during my Vinyasa class when I'm guaranteed not to be looking in the mirror - I don't want to see the faces of other people in class who are probably thinking: "what a pathetic clutz!" I do rock about any bending or twisting pose, though :)

Haven't attended a Bikram class in several years, but the pose done with arms and wrists twisted under the upper body while lifting legs up behind is pretty awful.
