Satisfy Valentine's Candy Cravings For Under 100 Calories

When It Comes to Being Healthy, Which Is Easier For You?

We are just days into 2010 and many of us have made resolutions for getting fit and/or eating a healthy diet in the new year. While both are essential for a healthy life, one often comes more easily than the other. I must admit, I am more likely to jump on a bike and ride for hours than to pass up tortilla chips. So tell me . . .

Balanced clean diet is much harder for me ! When I was IM training I was s/b/r ing 13-15 hours/ week... eating well is something I struggle with much more !

I have to work at both. I have Fibromyalgia, I have bad days that ruin my progress and schedule. I can go a few days eating restrictive, but after a week with no progress on the scale, I give up. I have a hard time losing weight because I'm not overweight, I'm on the lower end of the normal range. I wish I could at least exercise 3-4 times a week. I eat healthy for the most part.

I'm like mermaidlocks... I'm a raw-foodist and for me, controlling my intake is a breeze, eating only fruits and veggies is the only way I'd have it! But exercise... well that's another thing! I hate it! I force myself to lift weights about 3 or 4 times a week, and I do a jazz/ballet dance class in school 4 times a week. And I also do yoga in my free time. But I really hate cardio, so I only do that occasionally, although my resolution is to get some cardio in 3 or 4 times a week for my health. It's going to be tough! :p

I am high-raw vegan, and that is super easy for me because I love eating that way and I chose to do so early in life without any regrets or secret cravings. Exercising, on the other hand, isn't too easy since I have bad nerve damage from my many years of ballet, and an auto immune disease so I do yoga when I can, or take a walk with my dog. Although even that is hard sometimes when I am sick constantly, but I do miss it!!

I don't have much of a problem with either one, but I would rather be active and enjoy some treats rather than be very strict with my diet and not exercise.

I love to exercise...but I also love food! It kind of evens out for me, but I do wish I could drop a few pounds, but I frequently lack willpower!

i can exercise all day long, but when it comes to walking away from my favorite foods, which are horrible for me, i can't help but indulge. thank god i exercise so much or my weight would totally be out of control.

both are easy. but mainly because i like healthy over junk food and being active over sedentary.

I hate exercising and I don't mind healthy food, so its a no brainer. I am craving chocolate now though...

The diet is way harder!!! I don't have a problem getting to the gym - - - when the clock hits 11am, its like an alarm goes off in my body; without thinking, I get up, grab my bag and walk over to the gym for my lunch break. Unfortunately, my body does not have the same mechanism when it opens the cupboards and sees the homemade chex mix, fudge, cookies, sweets, etc. leftover from the holidays!

I love to exercise so that is never a problem, but I will occasionally get off track with my nutrition.

depends on my schedule. When I'm slammed it's easier for me to eat right but i don't have time for the gym, and when i have time off i tend to eat more than i need to but also stay at the gym longer.

I'm with the two posters above. I made it to the gym in terrible weather over the holidays.. but I still couldn't resist the cookies!

Same as Kim - I have no problem to exercise, but I have a hard time to pass up on any dessert.

Definitely exercising. I love to exercise. I unfortunatley lack self-control around the junk food that's always left in the break room at work.

I find eating better easier. I still need a bit of a sugar hit though.
