Which Body Part Do You Have the Hardest Time Toning?

My thighs are my problem spot. I work really hard doing lunges and squats but no matter what, they never seem to get as toned as I would like. I have since accepted them for what they are and appreciate that they help me walk, but man, why won't they tone-up? We all have that one part of our body that, no matter how much cardio and resistance training we do, just does not want to tone up. So what is your problem area?

all of the above. i lost 100 lbs in the past 2 years, and EVERYTHING is flabby. i thought it would all tighten up on its own, but it is SO AGGRAVATING! i cant get anything to tone up...arms are worst. i have some huge thighs still, & though theyre strong, i cant seem to tone any part of my body yet. and i thought LOSING the weight was the hard part...

Thighs... I'm lugging saddlebags. Everything else is no problem to keep toned but in relation to the rest of my body they are soft.

my legs are nice and toned thanks to cross country running for two years. lately i've been doing a lot of ab and arm work so those areas are getting better. my real problem area is my love handles--grrr!

Wow, there are so many responses to this post! I guess we all have body parts that we dislike...For me, I'm one of those people who find it very difficult to keep muscle. If I don't do push-ups for even just one week, I lose the ability to do them! It sucks, but it means I have to keep on top of the game or all my hard work goes out the window. My problem area would have to be abs - because I have long legs and a short torso, I tend to get flabby around the mid-section - even though my core is quite strong. Meah, what can you do but work harder??

Does anyone know any good exercises for your lower back? I feel like thats not only my least favorite body part but also my weakest.

Ha there should've been an option for all the above.. But I'm having the most hardest time with my lower body. And I can't seem to get rid of my love handles no matter what!

Love handles! No matter how in shape I am, they're always there. Pretty much resigned myself to the fact they're not going anywhere...

Abs by far. My arms snap right into shape and my legs get used a lot more in all exercise.

My abs. Actually, my problem was getting rid of the layer of fat that hides my toned abs. My body loves to store some fat at my abs (thanks Mom and Dad). My abs was the first place that gets fat, and the last place that loses fat.Right now, I have some nice definition at my mid-section. I have a tight core, and a good hour-glass figure. But due to my body type, it takes a committed exercise habit, and healthy, lean eating.

I have really great legs, butt, and arms, but my ABS are SO HARD to get defined! I've always had a bit of a pooch there because I'm really short-waisted. It seems like my arms and back show muscle definition first when I work out though.

my inner thighs... ughhh... theres muscle there.. .but just under a layer of nasty fat... i sort of have a 6 pack... not that defined, but defined enough where im happy... i dance so it was always naturally there... fat burning protein shakes certainly helped that area out a lot.. i totally recommend them after a workout.. especially now since its hot out... nice way to cool off after a work out :)

"Toning" is such a fake 80's fitness word. There's no toning. You can build muscle, burn fat, or both.

Abs- just a layer of fat. I'm not worried, I just need to keep with good eating and cardio. :) Every where else is fine with me, although I would like better definition in my thighs. Honestly, I'm pretty well proportioned, so no complaining.

I feel so much better after reading the comments. I thought I was the only one in the universe who had unproportionally flabby arms! My friends used to make fun of my arms in middle school and I was never even chubby :(
