Which Should You Eat More of: Fruits or Veggies?

The farmers market by my house is bursting with garden goodness. From juicy strawberries and blueberries to baby greens and broccoli, I'm stocking my fridge full. I have to say, though, the hot sunshiny weather definitely makes me crave refreshing fruits, so I have to make an effort to get my fill of veggies. What about you?

Neither, I've gotten really good about planning my meals to center around veggies and to cover my fruit count, I make smoothies. Yummm. I have my bad days, like everyone, but typically I'm good at getting plenty of both.

I try to have a fruit with breakfast and then more veggies during the day. Like so many have said, fruits do have sugars in them, so too much defeats the purpose.

I eat way more veggies than fruits, only because veggies are very nutrient-dense and naturally low in calories. Fruits are very nutritious as well, but they do have a bit more sugar in them than veggies do, so you shouldn't eat WAY too many servings of them in a day.

I get 8-12 total servings a day, but it is definitely easier for me to get my fruit in than my veggies!

Veggies. I love them, but I don't always get my full 5 servings a day. Fruit I usually get plenty of since I normally have a handfull of berries with breakfast and a necterine, peach, or banana as a snack. I too crave fruit in the summer, so I have to be careful not to eat way too much of it in the warmer months (although if you're gonna overeat something, you could certainly do worse then fruit).

I eat a decent amount of vegetables, but in the summer I go crazy with all the fresh fruit, so right now I should probably work on eating more veggies.

I eat a ton of both! I used to have trouble getting in my fruits, but then I added then as snacks and dessert. Works out great!

I love veggies! It's hard for me to get in my fruits because I don't usually eat fruit with meals — just as a snack, and even then they're usually the same fruits (apples, bananas, grapes).
