Ever since I stopped doing cardio I dropped 10 lbs and look so much more lean and toned. I only do super sets with heavy weights and high reps. This article is awful. An hour at the gym? If you minimize rest periods, you can get the same workout done in 45 minutes and burn more calories than you would if you did it over an hour. Quality not quantity.

I don't agree with the portion concerning weight lifting. I burn TONS of calories in the weight room. I never do cardio, except twice a week, and for only 15 minutes max as HIITs (versus 5-6 days a week lifting weights for 1.5 hours). In doing this, I have lost at least 8% of body fat. Plus, the more muscle you build, the more calories your body burns overall. As long as you are in a caloric deficit (assuming there are no other complications such as metabolic damage, thyroid problems, etc.), you are almost certainly guaranteed to see fat loss over time. I would love to see actual scientific articles on here every now and then.

That is one of my biggest pet peeves and I remind my clients constantly to not skip it! not only does it jump start your metabolism it also helps you feel more full and cut down on snacking throughout the rest of the morning: aka you wont eat everything in the office vending machine :)
