Are You More Motivated by Routine or Adventure?

Weekly or daily trips to the gym, pool, mat, or trail can be a marathon in their own right, but if you make it to your starting line, you're sure to reap a reward. Of course, I say this as a creature of habit, who is happy to spice up my workouts at the gym with minor adjustments. My sister, on the other hand, finds my routine utterly boring and prefers to try different workouts every week — sweating it out in belly dancing class, intense hikes in the wilderness, or new classes she found on deal sites. What motivates you more: a consistent exercise routine and the practice of a favorite sport, or testing the waters with different techniques?
