Sugar-Filled and Fatty Foods

If you can relate to having an out-of-control or out-of-body experience while you eat, it's important to recognize which foods trigger you — and it's not the fresh produce in your fridge. Calorie-dense items rich in sugar and fat or carb-heavy dishes are the most common foods that trigger a period of overeating and leave you feeling uncomfortable after.

Exercising self-control is part of the problem, but sugar-rich and fatty foods can have addictive effects on your brain and body. If you're having a hard time with portion control or pacing yourself, it's best to take these foods out of your home and stock up your fridge and pantry with good-for-you foods and snacks that support your goals.
