@nikkisoda Thanks for the info - I think that might be the way to go just so we can make sure to get the right size!

@Nicole Perry Now that I clicked on your link I see that they are offering a D'artagnan pig. At least if you go directly to the website you can choose your size. It's a bit spend but so worth it. Especially for a party. It feeds and gives great conversations. =)

@Nicole Perry We ordered ours from www.dartagnan.com They have a few different sizes, so that helps with the price. We ordered a 30 pounder, feeding 35 people. There was plenty left over. Good luck!

No problem @nikkisoda, it all looked so enticing! A quick question, where did you get the pig from? A local butcher? Gilt Taste (http://www.gilttaste.com/products/76578378-d-artagnan-whole-suckling-pig)? I haven't really done my research yet, but was at least considering Gilt Taste as a back up if I couldn't find one locally, my only reservation being that their suckling pig, though undeniably gorgeous, is a bit spendy (about $500 with shipping)...

The suckling pig was next level deliciousness! You must do it for your Birthday bash. Thanks for sharing my pictures!
