Blue Cheese: Love It or Hate It?

With its moldy appearance, pungent smell, and strong flavor, blue cheese is quite a polarizing ingredient. Still, from pizzas to salads, it's a common on many menus. Being a true foodie, I love the rich creaminess of this stinky cheese. How about you?

i love strong cheese (so i like most blue cheese) but i once tried roquefort, just one bite, and for the next day or so i would almost throw up just reminiscing about its taste.

I've tried different kinds of blue cheese and I gotta say...not for me. Gorgonzola is the only one that is not terrible, but not great either. They all taste inky and waaaaaay too pungent.

i don't like blue cheese dressing, but i LOVE the crumbles in my salads. Paradise Bakery makes the yummiest salad-romaine, craisins, blue cheese crumbles, and ceaser dressing. now i make my own!

i'm not the biggest fan of blue cheese. sometimes with a salad that has cranberries it's a good thing but otherwise i'll stay away from it.

I never used to be a fan but I recently made a gnocchi cheese gratin type thing and used blue cheese...it was delicious, albeit a little smelly.

I like it, but it's not my favorite type of cheese. It's a little intense.

I love it & used to eat a lot of it but later found out that not only am I sensative to molds, but have to watch my dairy, too. So, now it's just a REAL treat once in awhile! :feedme:

Ugh, NASTY!! I can't stand the stuff...it reeks and it tastes like salty vomit. I have a weird thing about mold...it freaks me out for some reason. I can't stand to see any food be moldy; let alone any food that you'd still eat. My husband really loves blue cheese though...he loves this blue cheese sauce I make for steak. I make it, but it makes my kitchen smell like sweat socks for a few days.

Yummers! It's the bomb. Simple snack: plain crackers, loganberry jam and a dollop of bleu cheese - amazing!

LOVE!!! Brush a salmon steak with olive oil, sprinkle with sea salt and freshly ground pepper, fresh dill, and good blue cheese crumbles. Bake, and finish with fresh lemon juice.
