Food Network star Bobby Flay has been everything from a satellite radio talk show host to a horse race caller, but there's one role he hasn't taken a stab at until now: national columnist.
Beginning this month, Flay will publish a monthly column in Parade, the national Sunday newspaper magazine which is, incidentally, the most widely read glossy in the United States. The column — titled "Cook It!" — will launch Jan. 31 with a focus on Super Bowl-themed recipes.
Although I grew up reading Parade, I truthfully haven't dabbled much in its recipes since its long-standing food editor, Sheila Lukins, passed away last year.
I am excited to see what Flay, who described his recipes as "easy but surprising" in a press statement, will bring to the table. Will you be on the lookout for the Iron Chef's new column?
