Caffeine Could Be Good For Women's Memory

Caffeine Could Be Good For Women's Memory

What was this post going to be about? I completely forgot what I was going to write. If only I drank more caffeine...

According to a new French study, drinking three or more daily cups of coffee or tea may help women preserve their memory. Participants in the study took several tests over the course of four years. The women who stated they drank at least three cups of coffee or tea per day showed less of a drop in test scores during the study, than their non-caffeine drinking counterparts. Although the study was conducted on older women (65+), and is only observational, I can't help but wonder whether if I should start my daily coffee routine back up.

i wanted to mention that years ago Oprah said that you should have chocolate before dinner. i like that advice and yours too partysugar! :) i do know that coffee makes me more hungry but it is a diarrhetic - i just know i feel worse in the morning if i don't have any at all.

Well I usually drink a ton of soda (and I'm trying to quit) at home and I often forget that I've gotten up to go to the bathroom. But I worked as a camp counselor this summer where soda was in short supply and regularly drank three or four cups of tea to get my caffeine fix; I think my memory was better for it. My colleagues even commented on how observant I was and how well I kept track of the names, faces, etc. of our wards.

Coffee puts the system under the strain of metabolizing a deadly acid-forming drug, depositing its insoluble cellulose, which cements the wall of the liver, causing this vital organ to swell to twice its proper size. In addition, coffee is heavily sprayed. (Ninety-two pesticides are applied to its leaves.) Diuretic properties of caffeine cause potassium and other minerals to be flushed from the body.
