Thanksgiving dinner wouldn't be right without something that's candied, but that casserole of sticky yams gets a bit tired year after year. Instead, tempt your guests' taste buds with acorn squash rings that have been slathered with brown sugar and whiskey. The result? Delicious bites of squash with a bit of an edge. The sugar and whiskey heat together, creating a caramelized crunchy glaze. This dish pairs exceptionally well with traditional holiday fixings like gravy, cranberry sauce, and roast turkey.
