I thought that was really nice considering a lot of people are strapped for cash this year but still want to enjoy their holiday! Spectra 5 years Ha, no way. Mom always cooks for turkey day and she absolutely LOVES it. We've never gone to a restaurant on Thanksgiving. betty-kraker 5 years i have always had dinner with my family at home we have never went out 5 years I live in Boston and once my whole extended family had thanksgiving at Plymouth Plantation. My family broke tradition to try it once since we all live so close to it. It was nice but I perfer eating at home. GlowingMoon 5 years I wish. But most of my family members are foodies, and love to cook everything from scratch. As much I enjoy the food (and the social interaction during cooking), I would prefer to dine out. Oh well. mondo 5 years Ever sine my mom passed away, it was too painful to recreate the wonderful food & memories. So my father, brother & I go to a restaurant. We try different ones each year, returning to ones we all enjoy. Thanksgiving was always my favorite holiday but I miss my mom's cooking and it not the same. mek123 5 years We used to eat out on Thanksgiving since I had to work the day before and after; so it was just easier. The past few years we are back to having it at home. I miss the ease of going out but then I missed the leftovers and the day of eating. LaurenG22 5 years We are going out on thursday night! We ended up having an epic night. photodee 5 years We are this year, because the family is celebrating on Friday, so it's just me and my hubby ~ I didn't want to cook all day for just the two of us :( skigurl 5 years strange...i've never heard of this (except the one thanksgiving when we were travelling so we did then, obviously) but when at home, we have dinner at home or the home of a relative shoneyjoe 5 years I have, and while it's not my first choice, I have done it when my aunt or some such relative requires. And while I was abroad. AlexisSF 5 years we were going to this year, but we ended up not wanting to break our tradition. I'm glad we didn't. Food 5 years I've never celebrated Thanksgiving at a restaurant, but so many of them seem to be hosting a special dinner this year. I think it could be fun one of these years!
