Do You Drink Starbucks Coffee?

I was reading the comments about the new Starbucks campaign and was surprised to see that many of you don't care too much for the coffee giant. Both PartySugar and I are enthusiastic fans of Starbucks and can't imagine hating the chain. I've always found the drinks to be relatively consistent, and the atmosphere provides a reassuring familiarity no matter which store you're in. What about you: Are you a fan of Starbucks? What do you like or dislike about it?

Love our local indy shop "Pony Expresso"! Small, cozy, and excellent coffee!

I work at Starbucks, and I have to say it generally depends on the location. I've worked at quite a few stores and have only actually worked at one that was up to par as far as quality, atmosphere, and partner morale. My suggestion to anyone looking to hit up a Starbucks for their coffee fix is to forgo the drive-through and find a cafe store. You're never going to get the service you deserve from your car.

Starbucks coffee is okay....I prefer Dunkin' Donuts. Personally I don't order coffee out that much. I can't seem to bring myself to pay $3 or more for a cup of coffee when I can just as easily get one for 50 or 75 cents (and insome cases that comes with a free refill) at McDonald's or even better, make it at home and put it in a travel mug and bring it along.

Absolutely not! I hate Starbucks! I saw a great bumper sticker once that said "Friends Don't Let Friends Drink Starbucks" I want one of those. Their coffee taste like chalk.

If I'm around my town I always stop at my local coffee shop House of Joe. If I'm not I will stop at Starbucks, but they aren't really my favorite.

I'm part of the reason Dunkin Donuts beat Starbucks. I think DD makes a pleasant cup...while Starbucks overroasts slightly.I do like Frappuchinos. I only drink them on occasion. The cream and sweets cover up the overroasting.

I drink everything, but I do love Starbucks. What can I say? Like I said, there's something about the familiarity of it.

I actually prefer Peet's or CC's (Community Coffee) for coffee. These days when I go to Starbucks I tend to indulge in their hot chocolate and/or have some of their Perfect Oatmeal for breakfast.

I'm more of a tea drinker and I find Starbucks' Tazo tea bags appalling, so I always go for Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf's whole leaf teas. I like Starbucks' signature hot chocolate, though.

On occasion I buy non-coffee drinks from there.

Their coffee tastes burnt, but if you get something like a Carmel Macchiato there's so much sugar syrup in it, you can't taste the coffee. Would much rather stop by Peet's or any small, independent coffee shop. It may not be "consistent", but at least I know I have a 50/50 chance of getting a good coffee, which is better odds than Starbucks.

There is a Starbucks right near my house and the only reason I ever go in is to pick up some free coffee grounds for my compost bin since I don't drink coffee and neither do any of my housemates.

No, Starbucks burn their beans. Smell the coffee, it's obvious. I get a headache from all that carbon.I prefer Peet's, too. Much better quality.
