Do You Eat the Rind on Cheese?

When I recently reviewed Président's brie cheese log, I mentioned that, even though it is edible, PartySugar and I don't normally don't care for the rind on brie cheese. Where do you stand on the matter?

haha tadow i was thinking the same thing...but generally i love the rind especially on harder cheeses like gruyere or parmesan

I'm not eating cheese anymore, because I'm like an addict and can't have just one slice. But, I love ALL of the cheese. Whatever is edible is going in my mouth

The rind is such a significant part of the flavor. I can't imagine Brie without the rind!

I won't eat the rind from bloomy rind type cheeses like Brie; I think it tastes horrible. With cheese like smoked gouda and parmesan, I will add the rind to soups or sauces.

Only Brie. I flavor soup or stew with the rind of Parmesan cheese.

I wont touch it if it's on Camembert. But I'll gobble it down if it's on Brie.

I eat it for the same reason I eat fruit/vegetable skins--I'm convinced that some study will show that there's tons of good-for-you vitimains, minerals and compounds in it that can prevent everything from exzcema to cancer.

Actually a cool thing to do with the rinds of good cheese is to use it to flavor soup!

for me, it really depends on the kind of cheese that it is - if it's a kind that has a rind that's not too think or tasteless, then sure i'll eat it. i don't always go out of my way to cut it off.
