Spectra 5 years Nope; I've never had to do it. I don't eat oysters. fuzzles 5 years I'm a sucky shucker. muse2323 5 years I'm a newbie, but I have video of me (in "exhibitionist" garb, at an art night themed "Expose Yourself") learning how to shuck oysters. And I didn't draw a drop of blood--though I'm probably lucky I didn't run my whole hand through. CaterpillarGirl 5 years I am a great shucker. AlexisSF 5 years not to toot my own horn, but i'm a great oyster shucker — beep beep!! Food 5 years Yes, but I hate shucking them. Does that still count? I don't want to work for them — I just want to eat 'em! mek123 5 years Oysters are great but never needed to shuck them myself. weffie 5 years Nope but I'll never need to... Also, that pic just made me throw up in my mouth a little. jillpod 5 years I shuck oysters like its my job, well, because it is actually my job. I work in a classy seafood restaurant... and when customers order 1 dozen raw oysters... it is the most time-consuming task even though I'm quite quick at it nowadays. It's pretty dangerous too, lancing yourself with the shucker is quite common, so we bought this medieval looking glove to wear while shucking to prevent injuries. shoneyjoe 5 years I can do clams, but I've never been good with oysters. suziryder 5 years I certainly don't! I'd probably stab myself in the hand.
