I am making a salad for the 4th of July and the dressing consists mainly of cilantro. Ashenturtle 8 years Love it rainonme224 8 years i like it, especially in salsa. my bf's mom is mexican and always puts it in her food and it makes it so good. SweetMagicFairy 8 years Love it nycgirl 8 years Haha, I already left my hateful comments under the 'Cilantro Martini' post. I find cilantro highly offensive. For those of you who love it, live in NYC and like Indian food, I highly recommend going to Tabla. That kitchen seems to think that EVERY SINGLE DISH needs it (and yes, I'm bitter). stnybaby 8 years i LOVE it...like other commenters, i tastes "fresh" to me. it brightens the flavor of whatever it's in - salsa, guac, marinades, salads. i'm vietnamese and we eat a TON of it in most of our dishes as part of the herb/greens plate. KittyKatgrr 8 years I used to LOVE it! but not too long ago i made some eggs with wayyy too much, and can't go near it since! i hope i like it again sometime soon :) bigestivediscuit 8 years I love cilantro! I just put some chopped cilantro into my home-made salsa a while ago and it was definitely the missing ingredient. :) crispet1 8 years I have heard that before--that people think it tastes like soap. I personally love it though. amandaaa 8 years my boyfriend's mexican. gotta love it!! kiwitwist 8 years I don't mind cilantro in stuff but I cannot stand the smell of it.. YUCK for some reason! JennaV 8 years love it Butrfly4404 8 years I discovered I hate cilantro. I've never had a problem with it before - I eat at Mexican restaurants all the time and love the salsa. But I bought some fresh cilantro to make The Pioneer Woman's guacamole and the smell left on my hands from cutting it up just made me sick. I didn't eat any of the pico de gallo or the guac. Now I will never use it again. Glad I'm not the only one...I really thought I was!! sonnabobble 8 years mmmmm... ilove it on everything. i especially love it with lime. pier 1 make a yummy citrus cilantro candle!! steen 8 years Blech, I hate cilantro; it's probably the thing I like the least food-wise. krys786 8 years Yuck yuck yuck...for me, it ruins Mexican food! GiggleSugar 8 years I can only take it in doses. It tastes like soap to me sometimes. And I hate when I accidentally choose it instead of Italian parsley, and I gotta go all the way back to the store...aargh! LadeeVolFan 8 years Yum, I think the question is why in the world were you up posting at 2:30am!! ;) Must have been a late night partying! Food 8 years ahhhhh.... you guys caught me. It's actually ridiculous that I put up the wrong image, we always have tons of cilantro in the house (I even have some growing in my backyard!) and as TeamSugar tells me, "I like it on everything" I can't believe I got it wrong, thanks for pointing it out. I guess that's what happens when you think you're coherent enough to work at 2:30 in the morning... ! thanks guys! econinsf 8 years ash_marisa... those are definitely not cilantro leaves, they are definitely grape leaves. I am in the wine business, I know a grape leaf when I see one. LisaK 8 years I love it and I love how it smells. Linda-McP 8 years I'm in the minority here, but I really HATE the taste of cilantro; I avoid any dishes that list it as an ingredient. susanec 8 years It really brightens up a dish, great flavor. cageyme 8 years Although picking through the leaves and stems can be a bit fiddly.
