Quite often, but not ALWAYS! Sometimes I like something someone else has made. I hate shopping for storebought because I'm picky about ingredients...like HFCS and hydrogenated oils.

I always make homemade dressings! I grew up with it, and so it's all I'm used to - bottled dressings are full of sodium and preservatives. My favourite is extra virgin olive oil mixed with fig balsamic vinegar and pressed garlic! My mom makes amazing caesar salad dressing, but I don't have the recipe, so I always get her to make it when I go over.

Love homemade dressings! I love vinegar so I like to add way more of that than you would get in a traditional dressing ratio (or in store bought!).

I don't, because I don't really cook, but my husband always makes his own dressings for our salads. They are always fantastic and way better than store bought!

Almost always. It's yummier and I'm scared of products with five lines of ''ingredients'' that I can't pronounce.

I usually make my own viniagrette. I make it lower in fat by using less olive oil and more vinegar. I throw in salt and pepper and a little Dijon mustard to richen it up. It's a lot cheaper than buying the store-bought stuff.

@muse2323, I know several former Ohioans who find Garlic Expressions at Whole Foods locations here in Chicago. If there's one near you, check into it. Making a simple vinaigrette is simple, and out of the food products with extra artificial crud in them, salad dressings' ingredient lists always seem to gross me out more so than other food (don't know why). If I don't have time to make vinaigrette, I go with oil and vinegar.

I really miss a dressing made and packaged near my hometown (Garlic Expressions, a garlicky Italian vinaigrette), but since I've gotten married, we both tend to just drizzle oil and balsamic over our salads, though I will sometimes make my own dressings when guests come over (or I make a strawberry spinach salad).

It's half-half for me. I make my own when I have time or when I couldn't be bothered to go to the store.

Sometimes, though I do love Annie's Goddess dressing and will pay for that

I always make my own dressing. Cheaper, healthier, and much more delicious!

I have only made my own dressing once. I don't eat a lot of salad so most of it went to waste.

I have a couple of store bought favorites that I can't pass up, but I do make my own bleu cheese dressing and my vinaigrette.

rarely. i prefer the non-fat/zero calorie dressings and homemade dressings usually tend to call for fatty ingredients. :(

I make my own when I have time, or want a specific homemade one I make. Cesar is always store though. I just made a balsamic, black currant dressing that's delicious! Also I have never ever bought honey mustard dressing, that's a definite homemade one
