I hate to break it to you, but the George Foreman Grill does not come close to a real panini press. We got one as a wedding present and it is truly amazing.

No, I use my George Foreman as a panini press. It works just as well, I promise.

I love paninis! But a press isn't necessary, skillful use of a George Foreman usually does the trick!

Yes, I got one at my bridal shower two years ago, but honestly, I think I've used it only three times or so.

I don't own one. But I have totally made quesadillas with my iron. I'm single guy - why else do you think I own an iron?

ellenp1214 I agree, grilled pb&j is the ultimate way! I just use a brick covered in foil to press my sandwiches.

Nope. I just put a smaller cast iron skillet on top of the sandwich.

We registered for one (per my husband's request) but have yet to use it!

Does a George Foreman grill count? Because that's what I use to make panini. It works really great, so I wouldn't go out and buy a separate sandwich press.

Yes and use it ALL THE TIME! I have a panini/grill/griddle with removable and, get this.....dishwasher safe grills!!! It is seriously amazing. I make paninis, to grill turkey burgers, and use it to make pancakes/eggs. So awesome.
