almost always. i like things spicy so extra pepper is great and salt really enhances the taste of a lot of food - makes many things more edible if it isn't all that great to begin with.

It's very rare that I have to add salt or pepper.

I gotta taste it first. Otherwise, you could ruin it!

Yes! I salt and pepper everything. My husband tells me I over do it. I can't eat my food unless I see seasoning on top of it first.

Only eggs. Otherwise, I taste first, season second.

I usually pepper my food before tasting it, but NEVER salt it.

Usually no, but I love a little salt and pepper on my eggs. I also agree that it's kind of rude to dump salt and pepper all over your food without even tasting it first.

I don't use salt or pepper until I've tasted something. Most things are salty enough! I don't like it when the waitstaff in restaurants ask you if you want fresh ground pepper, when you haven't even tasted the food yet.

I've added pepper a few times in my life, but I've only added salt once. My aunt made some soup that turned out to have almost no flavor; she salted hers first and said it was better, so I tried it. It was better, but it didn't inspire me to start salting things.Meh. I just never got into the habit, so I guess I don't really see the point.

I always try the food first, but I looove pepper. I cook with it a lot. But the ultimate spice is of course Tony Cacheres. I will skip both salt and pepper if there is Tony's available.

I <3 pepper. Veggies get peppered, I NEVER salt, most food has enough darn sodium in it as it is. If it doesn't taste good, don't eat it.

I automatically salt things like eggs, or popcorn, but I usually try the food first to see if it even warrants any salt or peppering.
