Agree with others - as long as you're gonna eat eventually. The shoes, and I love shoes, are quite disgusting and I hope the street goo doesn't drop off in the stuffing - you'd never know it if it did.

For a get-together at mine, we had an Edible Arrangement for the centerpiece and dessert. The greens for the arrangement was kale, which we later used as a soup ingredient.

I use it as decoration if it's party. I don't like things like fruit bowls on my kitchen table. And I'm not too fond of that photo above either. The shoes are a bit much and need to be taken off.

Great shoes though.

For some reason I have always had a problem with people using food as decoration. I think it is very wasteful. I also think about all the people going hungry in the world.

Also, that site has music... turn down your volume if you are at work or at home with a sleeping child, like me

When I see that picture all I can think is, "What would I do with 15 pomegranites that are going to spoil?" I know you think it's trendy but I haven't eaten pomigranite in 15 years (unless grenadine counts and I don't care to make that.) I'm also in the shoes-near-food=GROSS club

i haven't done so in the past but i was watching one of the many wedding shows and they had pears as a centerpiece and it was lovely! (now i just said 'lovely' - what's that about)

I have a bowl of fruit on the table to garb and eat as I want. Does that count? The pomegranates and shoes are absolutely ridiculous.

Now that pic is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen... but I do use food as long as it's edible. I don't waste food.

Right now I have a big bowl of clementines on the kitchen table--the orange is so cheery!

I've used food as a decoration before, but never with SHOES. Something about that just seems so completely disgusting to me. I know, I know... it's artistic. But shoes should be nowhere near food, if you ask me. Ugh.

Nope--any kind of food in the house is usually gone after a few days anyway :) I'm not feeling those random shoes with the pomegranates.
