Sometimes, freshly washed of course!

Definitely! It's so much easier to mix stuff with your hands. Although when I'm in front of company, I use tongs to mix salad.

Yes. But I wash my hands in between everything I touch because I hate the feeling of being dirty.

It depends. I use my hands when I bake, especially when I make biscotti or pastries. But as mentioned above, I wouldn't toss a salad with my hands.

It all depends on what I'm making. Er, I don't think I've ever tossed a salad with my hands.

I don't really love getting my hands all mucky, but when I'm making meatloaf or meatballs, there really isn't any better way to mix the ingredients. But I always make sure to take my rings off and wash my hands really well before I start.

Depends on what I'm making, i mostly use my hands and wash all the time. I always take my jewelry off too. I hate watching shows like Paula Deen and such when they don't take off their blasted rings! To me, it's unsanitary :\ yuck.

I always do! I love getting down and dirty. Barefoot Contessa does too.

It really depends on what I'm making. Most of the time, I'd use my hangs, but sometimes I prefer to use a spoon if I don't want my hands to get too messy while with friends. (I sign so I don't want food all over my face! ;) )

This makes me think of the cousin in National Lampoon's Vacation, mixing the kool aid with her hand. I use my hands sometimes, when it makes sense: hamburgers, meatballs, etc.

Yes, especially when tossing fresh veggies in olive oil and seasonings for roasting; that way i know everything's getting well covered and i can just dump them onto the baking sheet when they're ready to go.

I can't say I toss salad with my hands, but I'll take the David Yurman bracelet!

For certain things yes, especially meatloaf, burgers, etc. Though whatever they are doing in that picture looks gross.

Yes — for me, it's like makeup: Hands are often the best tools.

of course, esp when marinating. and i clean my hands a dozen times in between so i daresay its more sanitary then using tools!
