Domino's Unveils New Wisconsin 6 Cheese Pizza, Campaign to Support American Dairy

Domino's Spotlights US Dairy With Wisconsin 6 Cheese Pizza

Domino's isn't just toying around with breakfast pizza — it's also trying something new with the release of its latest specialty, the Wisconsin 6 Cheese pizza. The new pizza, which launched yesterday, is the chain's first new product since it overhauled its core pizza recipe late last year. The Wisconsin 6 Cheese is topped with mozzarella, feta, provolone, cheddar, parmesan, and asiago cheeses; most but not all of the cheeses will come from dairy farms in Wisconsin.

In conjunction, Domino's is running ads that focus on American dairy farms and launching an interactive site, "Behind the Pizza," that will highlight the stories behind the ingredients that go on Domino's pizza. Domino's is pushing the envelope with the introduction of a nationwide pizza that highlights ingredients from solely one state. The Badger State does have some of the country's best cheese.

My only question is: wouldn't it be that much better if all the cheese in the pizza came from Wisconsin? What do you think of the pie? Does it seem like something you'd buy?

I kind of (OK, totally) want to try this, too. Although, like you, lindsey, I typically like toppings on my pizza. I wonder if it's possible to get the 6 cheeses and also add one or two toppings. Today might be a pizza day! (I do agree that there could be other cheeses that would be better, but it seems like they just put the cheeses that they already offer all on one pizza.)

Oh my! Of all the ills in "food" can "dairy" be the worst? Possibly so... How strange it is for humans to be the species to never wean themselves from mammary secretions - From another species no less... Even at the cost of prohibiting the calf to drink the milk that it was intended for. There are many alternatives to "dairy" cheese - Without all the health implications - All the fat, calories... Oh yes, and without the cruelty to cows too. Vegan pizzas are the best! ;)

Anon #4--fellow Wisconsinite here...I agree with you. Feta doesn't sound like it would blend all that well with asiago and parmesan. They could do Cheddar, mozzarella, Colby, Muenster, maybe a nice Gruyere, and if they were really daring...they could go to Monroe and get some nice stinky Limberger!

finding myself wanting to try it too and I am not a Dominos fan, though I have yet to try Domino's since it overhauled their pizza. Heck, slather just about anything with good cheese and i might just eat it. mmmmm cheddar.

I might try it. The thing is, I kind of hate plain cheese pizza. What's the point? For me, pizza is all about the toppings. The more, the merrier!

Is it bad that I kind of totally want to try this?!
