With the 2014 FIFA World Cup's finale today, there's never been a better time to sip on a caipirinha, Brazil's national cocktail, with a fanciful twist in the style of chef José Andrés. Plus, we'll show you a mojito unlike you've ever seen before (hint: it involves cotton candy).

Ingredients

5 ounces lime juice, freshly squeezed
10 teaspoons superfine sugar
20 ounces cachaça
Zest of 2 limes

Directions

  1. Pour lime juice into ice cube trays, and freeze overnight.
  2. Into a blender, add frozen ice cubes, sugar, and cachaça. Blend until slushy.
  3. Pour into glasses, garnish with a little bit of lime zest, and serve with a spoon.

Ingredients

4 sprigs mint
1/2 ounce simple syrup
1 ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed
2 ounces white rum, such as Flor de Caña
2 ounces club soda
Strawberry cotton candy

Directions

  1. Muddle mint, simple syrup, and lime juice in a shaker. Add rum and ice, and shake vigorously.
  2. Add club soda to the shaker.
  3. Place cotton candy in a martini glass. Slowly pour cocktail over the cotton candy, staying as close to the center of the glass as possible.
