Ahh I should have done so much better! On the 250 year anniversary of Guinness, I went to a pub quiz where one round was all Guinness questions. I did terribly. And apparently haven't learned a lot from it.

45 degree angle? A lot of bartenders I know pour it in thirds but still place it flat down, that's why the Guinness tap is always lower than the others. I was taught to fill it to the top in one pour then leave it to settle... lots of my regulars are older British and Irish guys and they prefer my one-step pour to unnecessarily stopping and starting.
