Homemade Gushers Can Be Yours With This Ingenious Hack

What '90s kid didn't grow up on Gushers, the gummy fruit pockets filled with fruity goo that burst upon biting into them? So artificially delicious. Thankfully, Reynolds Wrap thought of a homemade Gushers recipe that only uses three easy-to-pronounce (and easy-to-find) ingredients: fruit, sugar, and citrus juice. It starts with a fruit leather recipe, made by whipping up the ingredients in a food processor, spreading them thinly across a parchment-paper-lined rimmed baking sheet, and baking at a low temperature for several hours, until a leather texture is achieved.

To turn the fruit leather into Gushers, simply reserve part of the fruit mixture (before it goes into the oven). Roll the fruit leather into a cone, carefully pour a little of the fruit mixture inside the cone, then press the open end of the fruit leather closed to seal. It's almost magical! Reynolds shared three different recipes with us, so you can choose your go-to flavor. I'm eyeing the strawberry . . .
