I used to be terrible at chopping onions until I started culinary school, and now it only takes me a minute. This technique works!

@janetmouse hold a piece of bread in your mouth while you chop or light a candle the flame is suppose to help get rid of the vapor that causes you to tear or when you cut the onion in half take out the smalleest inner layers they tend to be the most potent. otherwise, if you can slice dice chop real quickly that helps...just some of the methods i found.

Or you can buy a bag of frozen, chopped onion and use it anytime you need onion. I don't even thaw it. Hopefully I'll never have to chop an onion again.
