I like sweet tea, no lemon. There is no better way to ruin a great glass of iced tea than to throw a slice of lemon in, or on, the glass. The only pre-made sweet tea that I'll buy is Red Diamond, Lipton and all the other packaged/canned teas are so gross. I also like the sweet PEACH tea from Sonic!

@bunnychick In the northern US "iced tea" is unsweetened. In the Southern US "iced tea" is sweetened, and not like you're used to either it's sickly sweet. I remember the first time I had to make it at the restaurant I was working at and they told me for the silver drum thing I needed to add 4 CUPS of sugar. heheI'm addicted to iced tea and like it unsweetened.

I make fresh brew sweet tea daily. And as mention earlier... you do place the sugar in the pitcher first before you pour the hot tea in... then add cool water. It makes all the difference in the taste of the tea to get all the sugar to dissolve. It also taste better if given the chance to cool a bit before serving.

I dont like ice tea, but since they've started mixing it with lemonade, I can tolerate it. I also like the fake kool aid stuff mixed with lemonade

i usually just put splenda or something like that in my tea, however depending on where i am i might adjust. when i go to my fiance's family's house in Texas, they have sweet tea so i have that - and it's not like the super sweet tea that they have in the south - it's probably from a mix so you know what i mean. i also like the 1/2 tea 1/2 lemonade combo. i started having that a few years ago and it's a nice variation.

I love tea, I'll have it hot or cold, exotic flavored, or with different wedges of citrus but always with no sugar. Tea is a part of my family's tradition, being served at every meal. My favorite tea is blackberry green tea, so fruity it doesn't need sugar.

I love to drink hot tea but I really don't like iced tea at all- sweetened, unsweetened, flavoured, etc! Same with coffee, I'm a coffee fiend but I never drink iced coffee! I guess I just like my "hot drinks" hot!

I was in Alabama this weekend and I was pretty surprised to discover that the mythic "sweet tea" that all my southern friends rave about is, in fact, just ordinary sweetened ice tea. Yummy, but still, it's just iced tea, people!

Stong sweet tea for this Carolina girl! Put in a squeezed lemon slice and you're good to go. The best thing about going back home is getting my normally H20-only fiance hooked on the stuff.

I'm probably one of the few southerners who does not drink iced tea. I drink a lot of hot green teas.

PS. I can't really do hot teas. Unless I am sick. Then I can do hot green tea with honey.

I am a southerner, but my dad ALWAYS preferred unsweetened tea. So when my mom would make tea (sometimes she'd do sun tea, sometimes not) it was always 100% unsweetened. It was at my neighbors or grandmother's that I would get that killer sweet tea. Now, I prefer it unsweetened with lemons & sometimes mint! (Weird, I know). If I am visiting someone and they have the super-sweet tea, I sometimes have half a glass, because it is yummy, just too sweet for me to drink very much!
