actually they say that the core can help with implantation if trying to get pregnant. The pineapple itself and pineapple juice can inhibit implantation but eating 1/5 of the core starting the day after ovulation for 5 days helps.

@wackdoodle I love the core me too. Apparently I inherited this trait from my mom since she used to love to eat the core. To me, the core is the best and underrated part of the pineapple.

I am a strange person I LOVE to eat the pineapple core. So does everyone in my family. We tussle over it. Same with the cores of cabbages. Weird yes but delicious.
