I thought 100 million pounds was excessive, but 4 BILLION? Yikes! Having said that I eat ice cream - all the time. Its my favorite treat. If someone told me all I could eat for the rest of my life was ice cream I wouldn't be too broken up about it. Ben & Jerry's (my personal fave) are like their own food group anyway!

You must have read my mind, Susanna! I have had ice cream on the brain since learning that our beloved local Pumphouse Creamery was noted as one of America's Top 25 recently. And just yesterday, I learned that a few local groceries are carrying the sea salt, homemade caramel and praline pecan version that they are known for. Shoot! I could eat 14 lbs of that in one sitting!!! :feedme:

I don't understand why people didn't get the point PETA was trying to make. They didn't really want human breast milk used, they were just trying to say that how is cow's milk, milk from another species, any less gross to consume than our own species milk, what we're designed to drink? While I don't agree with the approach PETA usually takes, that point made sense to me. *shrugs* I like ice cream, but I try to stick with Rice Dream, it's DELICIOUS.
