This Man Planned a Gorgeous Engagement Photo Shoot . . . With a Burrito

Nearly every social media user has seen variations of the same engagement shoot on their Facebook timeline: a loving couple, oft bedecked in fresh flower crowns, frolicking in a field during "golden hour" to catch the perfect sun rays. So when writer David Sikorski reached out to San Francisco photographer Kristina Bakrevski about scheduling a romantic engagement portrait session with his one true love, she knew what to expect . . . just not who — or in this case, what — would be the other photo subject. But when he revealed his partner in crime to be a carne asada burrito from Taqueria La Cumbre, Bakrevski didn't balk at the idea; she loved it!

"I was just really excited to poke fun at the engagement photo ritual in general. I loved the idea of injecting sarcasm and humor into these staged portraits you see bombarding your news feed and timeline every day," she wrote. "And it's always the same setting you see over and over again, so it was easy to reimagine this idea with a twist. Kind of like turning a mirror onto the whole engagement photo industry like . . . this is how silly it all looks." So Sikorski, Bakrevski, and the burrito took to San Francisco's streets for a hilarious (and mouthwatering) photo shoot.

Showing the happy couple popping Champagne and running on the beach, the finished portraits are a true masterpiece. Take a look for yourself and consider the possibilities with your own favorite munchies — I personally have a shoot on the books with my betrothed, a bag of Flamin' Hot Cheetos.
